NOA Board of Directors Nominations Open

The Nevada Optometric Association (NOA) is officially issuing a call for nominations for the association’s 2025 Board of Directors. Individuals are sought to serve on the board and help shape the future of the association. Submitting a nomination is encouraged for active NOA members who are interested in running for a position and getting engaged in NOA. Members can submit themselves or another qualified active NOA member for the open positions.

Nominations are open for the following two-year term elected positions:
  • President-Elect – The President-Elect shall perform the duties of the office of President whenever the President is unable to do so.
  • Secretary / Treasurer – The Secretary / Treasurer shall be responsible for monitoring the financial activities of the Association and assuring that proper accounting procedures are followed, and shall also require that an annual compilation review be conducted concerning the financial affairs of the Association.
  • Director-at-Large – The Trustee-at-Large acts as the fifth member of the Board of Directors, along with the President, the President-Elect, the Secretary-Treasurer, and the Immediate Past President.  The Board of Directors shall set policy and oversee the management, advocacy, and membership services, and have final authority to establish administrative regulations and to do and perform all acts and functions not inconsistent with these Bylaws, Nevada law, or with any action taken by the Professional Membership. The Board of Directors shall act as a referral committee to which resolutions and Bylaws changes shall be submitted prior to being placed before the membership.
These roles are critical in guiding the strategic direction of our association and advancing our mission to advocate for Nevada's doctors of optometry, their patients and the communities they serve and maintain protections for the practice of optometry and the doctor-patient relationship.
